CSMFO Innovation Award Applications Deadline Approaching!
This is a reminder that the deadline for CSMFO Innovation Award applications is rapidly approaching. Applications will be accepted until December 31st, 2022 at 5:00 PM PST.
Has your agency done something innovative in accounting, budgeting, treasury, debt administration, procurement risk management, or technology? If so, submit an application today!
Innovation Award applications are judged and scored by a special review panel comprised of CSMFO Board Members and Recognition Committee leadership. The panel scores the awards based on originality, purpose, effectiveness, practicality, and transferability.
- Originality: is there evidence of creativity and imaginative thinking in the development of the innovation and/or the implementation of the best practice?
- Purpose: Is the purpose clear and concise? Does the purpose of the innovation link to the goals of the innovation?
- Effectiveness: Does it appear that the innovation produced the intended effect?
- Practicality: Does this seem like a reasonable expenditure of time and resources given the stated purpose and goals?
- Transferability: Is the innovation relevant to other local governments? Would it be easy for other local governments to implement the innovation?
