First time? No problem!

Stephanie Reimer, Assistant General Manager/Chief Financial Officer for the Monte Vista Water District

Nearly anyone who has previously attended a CSMFO conference will tell you it is awesome! Two and a half days jam-packed with activities, keynote speakers, breakout training sessions, a vendor exhibit hall that seems to go on forever and ever, seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and of course tons and tons of food.

Hopefully, by now you have looked at the conference schedule. Maybe you have even carved out a preliminary plan. If you are a superstar, you have already downloaded Guidebook , the official CSMFO conference app.

Even with all that planning, if you are a first-time attendee or a student, you may be experiencing some pre-conference jitters. The Student Engagement and Membership Committees have you covered. Exclusively for first-time and student conference attendees, the committees are hosting a hospitality room, located in Pacific H/I.

The hospitality room is befitted with a plethora of resources curated just for you. Staffed with members of CSMFO’s leadership team, these dedicated individuals are available to assist first-time and student attendees with getting the most out of their conference experience.

Need help with selecting conference breakout sessions? A quick chat can get you pointed in the right direction. Whether you have general questions about the conference or want to get into something deeper like relationship and contact building, career advancement, or other opportunities to get involved with CSMFO, these are the people to talk with.

Taking tons of pictures, spending your whole day on Guidebook figuring out where to be next, or calling back to the office to tell them how much you are learning and how much fun you are having can really drain your phone battery. No worries, charging equipment will be available to help you power up.

Speaking of powering up, light refreshments will be available in the hospitality room. Just the pick-me-up you need to get back out to the main conference and hit the ground running.

If you find yourself feeling a little overwhelmed during the conference, needing a charge, or just looking for someone to get some answers from, first-time conference attendees and students, stop by the hospitality room located in Pacific H/I. We have you covered!
