Remember the sunscreen!
I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July! Hopefully, you have some time in the next month or so to take a break and enjoy a summer trip, or maybe even some in-person events as areas re-open. Just learn from my lesson so far this summer: remember the sunscreen!
I wanted to take some time this month to draw attention to the outreach the Communications Committee is conducting for CSMFO News. It has been two years since the launch of CSMFO News, which moved the bi-monthly magazine to a timelier electronic format. In late December 2019 and early January 2020, many members participated in a survey and shared feedback on the content and functionality of the newly launched CSMFO News. The Communications Committee is focused on bringing useful and informative content to our readers through CSMFO News, but we need the membership’s help to make sure we are on the right track. It seems like a good time to check back in!
First, you will notice some smiley faces at the bottom of each article. This new feature is called “Did You Find This Article Helpful?” When you read an article, please take the time to click on a smiley face and let us know if you found the article helpful or interesting. This will help guide the kind of content that we focus on.

Second, the link below takes you to a quick survey on CSMFO News and the Communications Committee. We would appreciate you taking a few minutes out of your day to share some responses on how you interact with CSMFO News, your opinion on the content, and any other advice or feedback you feel is important to share. We are not collecting names or emails of respondents, so please answer the questions as honestly as possible.
2021 CSMFO News & Communications Survey
We look forward to seeing the responses on what we are doing well, and what we could do better!
I wanted to give an additional reminder that materials from the 2021 Annual Conference are still available! You can access both the educational sessions and exhibit booths until August 20, 2021. Just use the same Pathable link and log-in information to access the conference site and materials.
