Just a friendly reminder and helpful resource for our CSMFO members!

The Local Agency Investment Guidelines (LAIG) are published by the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission (CDIAC). They were developed by CDIAC to assist local officials with the implementation of new laws related to public investing. Each year, CDIAC staff convenes a working group of public- and private-sector professionals to support its efforts to revise and update the guidelines.

The 2021 update to LAIG is now available online at the link below. If you are familiar with the prior guidelines, pages 3 and 4 provides a brief summary of statutory and federal regulatory changes.
