Recap - CSMFO Commercial Member Roundtable Meeting (September 2022)

On September 20, 2022, several commercial members joined the quarterly Commercial Member Roundtable meeting to hear about upcoming events and provide feedback to CSMFO Leadership.
Here are highlights from the September 2022 Meeting:
- President-Elect Rich Lee provided an update on the 2023 CSMFO Conference.
- The 2023 Conference will have featured speakers:
- Brett Culp, an award-winning documentary filmmaker
- Chris Thornberg, founder of Beacon Economics LLC.
- Commercial members were invited to volunteer for Day of Service on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.
- The group discussed options for a Silent Auction. Members provided feedback on helping CSMFO leadership with their planning effort.
- Commercial members were encouraged to “Go Green” in keeping with CSMFO’s conference theme. Give away items will not be restricted or limited, but leadership would suggest commercial members explore options that are environmentally conscious.
- CSMFO sponsorship is now open and commercial members can access the sponsorship prospectus.
- The Virtual Engagement Program will host a Trivia hour on Nov. 17 – 11:30AM – 12:30PM. Commercial members are invited to attend. Please stay tuned for further details.
- Your feedback in action: Commercial members asked that CSMFO Chapter Meetings be scheduled to allow for advance notice. CSMFO Leadership has been reaching out to Chapter Chairs and many upcoming Chapter Meetings are now on the CSMFO Master Calendar.

Aneil (Neil) Murthy is a Senior Relationship Manager with Chandler Asset Management, an SEC Registered Investment Advisor. Neil’s area of focus is on the development of client relationships in the public sector and he serves as a relationship manager for existing clients throughout Northern California. He has over a decade of experience in finance servicing public agency and institutional clients. Neil is a committee member of CSMFO’s Membership Committee and helps organize the CSMFO’s Commercial Roundtable meeting with Mark Petrasso.
Mark Petrasso is a Senior Vice President with Zions Bank Corporate Trust. Based in Los Angeles, Mark has 25 years of Corporate Trust administration, management and business development experience in the Far West region and has provided bond trustee and paying agent solutions to state, county and local municipal agencies in the California, Nevada and Arizona since 1998. A member of the CSMFO Membership Committee and several CSMFO working groups, Mark has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where he also served one term as a legislative aide to the State of Connecticut General Assembly – House of Representatives.
