The 2022 CSMFO Conference is right around the corner!

We cannot wait to see you all again in person and experience the exciting networking opportunities, the bustling exhibit hall and of course, the best education and finance sessions California has to offer.
Join us February 16 – 18, 2022 in beautiful San Diego, CA as we Discover CSMFO and explore our financial future, together. Visit the conference website on Monday, October 18, 2021 to begin your conference journey.
What you can expect to see on the 2022 conference web site:
  1. Many of the breakout offerings and their descriptions! Take time to browse the listing and you will agree, this is another “must attend” conference.
  2. Can you get away from the office earlier? Great! We are offering 4 preconference training sessions as well on Tuesday, February 15th  (separate registration required). A flyer for each session is already on the site, so check them out!
  3. With so many great sessions, we are offering a full complement of early bird sessions on Wednesday, Feb 16th beginning at 9:00 AM. Can’t make it to those? Well, make your plans to arrive by 10:30 AM for our opening keynote speaker followed by lunch.

We have all missed seeing each other, networking, and having some social time together. The full conference registration includes lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, breakfast on Thursday and Friday, a social hour with the exhibitors on Wednesday after the sessions conclude, and our ever-popular CSMFO hosted Thursday night event!

For 2022, the conference is scheduled for February 16th to the 18th in San Diego. The exact format of the events has yet to be determined, but we are planning for the conference to be primarily in-person. There may well still be COVID-related restrictions in place at that time, and our conference planning will be flexible to accommodate whatever restrictions remain in place. The Host Committee also hopes to take what was learned this year about virtual sessions and vendor interactions to enrich the conference experience for attendees in the long-term. An even wider audience may be able to gain access to our conference program content with a continued virtual component, thanks to the innovation that we saw in the 2021 conference experience.

As the year progresses, I will be providing updates to you via the CSMFO News on the latest developments with the 2022 conference and the specifics of the planned format, theme, keynote speakers, and events. The Host Committee, comprised of volunteer government and commercial members, is already hard at work planning the conference. I look forward to seeing you all in San Diego in 2022!
