CSMFO’s November Thankful Challenge

We can not believe that we are already halfway through November! There’s a lot going on here at CSMFO Headquarters, gearing up for what is going to be a very cool 2021 conference, membership renewals going out last week, and supporting our Chapter Meetings and online trainings. But one thing we have been savoring each day are the answers to our November Thankful Challenge prompts on the CSMFO LinkedIn page. We are so grateful to all of our members and leadership who are taking just a few moments out of their busy days to connect with us and each other. Check out some of these highlights:

November 3rd – This pandemic has been difficult in many ways, but it’s also been beneficial in many others. What’s your silver lining from sheltering in place?

“My silver lining when we were required to shelter in place, would have to be the cut in my daily commute time and all I was able to do with those extra 2.5-3 hours/day!!!” – Veronica Tapia

November 4th – Smells can trigger memory. Post a picture of something that smells like your childhood.

“Participating in our City’s Adopt-a-Family program. There are so many families in need, especially during COVID times. It feels good to help out however I can. :)” – Carrie Yu Tam, CPA

“When placing an order for some items to be delivered to my mom’s nursing home, I ordered extra to help the others who are in the same facility. I can’t visit, but at least I can share some joy this way.” – Kim Scott

“On this eve of Veterans Day, I’m reminded that our veterans have performed random acts of kindness for strangers like me, as do our active military each and everyday, through their service to country.” – Steve Heide
