CSMFO September Steps Challenge

By Melissa Manchester, CSMFO Executive Director

We know you can’t meet in person. We know you’re tired of being in your house. We know how hard it is trying to get work done from home while taking care of your kids. Being on a Zoom call while simultaneously trying to keep your two-year-old from screaming because the four-year-old closed the bathroom door. We get it. We miss adult interaction too. We miss our colleagues. We miss you.

Since we can’t see you all IRL, we’re offering a way for our members to connect virtually. And no, it’s not through Zoom.

Starting September 1, we’re introducing a virtual steps challenge. Download the MoveSpring app onto your phone and join the CSMFO event (info to come). Place yourself into your chapter’s “team” and then get moving!

We’ll be giving away prizes—$25, $50 and $100 Door Dash gift certificates for our top three steppers. Check the leaderboard daily to see where you rank. And don’t forget about the Chapter Challenge! The chapter with the highest average step count wins a million dollars! Okay no, not really. But y’all get bragging rights. That’s just as good, right?

Once in our event within MoveSpring, you can find your friends and chat within the app. Send words of encouragement or talk sh—I mean, good-naturedly berate your colleagues for lagging. Or whatever you want to talk about. We’ll leave that up to you.

We’ll send more information when the event is ready to join. In the meantime, I want to say a big thank you to our sponsor, Chandler Asset Management! Go visit their website or just reach out to Mia Corral (mcorral@chandlerasset.com) and say hi.

Are you excited?! I know I am. I’m a fairly sedentary creature, but I can’t wait to see you all duking it out (metaphorically of course) for first place. If this goes well, this will be just the first virtual engagement activity through CSMFO. Let’s make it a success!!
