On behalf of the CSMFO Board and entire leadership, I want to express our deepest sympathy to those communities across our country recently impacted by senseless violence, and mourn the lives that were lost.
In particular, we are sending our support to our CSMFO Member agency, the City of Gilroy, and to their first responders, other employees, volunteers, and community members who were so intimately impacted by violence on the afternoon of July 28, 2019. We stand in solidarity with the City of Gilroy and all our member agencies against such violence.
And once again, CSMFO is humbled by and proud of the staff of a Member agency who rushed to help victims and protected others who were leaving the scene, and did so without hesitation. We are proud of those who remain actively engaged to help victims, their families, and their community heal and to help everyone impact to move forward with their lives, while never forgetting those that were lost.

Joan Michaels Aguilar is the 2019 CSMFO President and Deputy City Manager-Admin Services for the City of Dixon.
