What you need to know to win a $50 Disney Gift Card, Movie tickets, or Starbucks gift card.
CSMFO is going big this month with prizes that you can win for nothing more than 30 seconds to 10 minutes of your time. Win a $50 Disney Gift Card, one of six AMC Movie Tickets (think Downtown Disney), or one of four Starbucks Gift Cards simply by following and liking our CSFMO Facebook page or completing a short, anonymous survey to customize CSMFO News to you.
Here’s how:
Go to our CSMFO Facebook page and like and post an answer to our most recent Conference Host Committee’s post about our upcoming Anaheim Conference. We are in our second prize drawing now and are accepting entries through 5pm on August 18, 2019 for a $50 Disney Gift Card. Congratulations to Michelle Nemetz, Accounting Technician from the City of West Hollywood for winning our first drawing. To stay up to date, please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
To be eligible for one of our AMC movies tickets or $5 Starbucks gift cards, just give us 10 to 15 minutes by completing this anonymous survey by 5pm on August 28th. We built this survey because we need your help to guide the direction of CSMFO News, tailor our future content to your preferences, and help identify possible future articles. The ten winners will be announced within CSMFO News on September 6, 2019.
What’s our 40 ‘n 4 Challenge and the difference 10 minutes can make.
We’re also hoping this survey will help CSMFO’s Communications Committee meet our 40 ‘n 4 challenge, which is identifying 40 potential articles in 4 weeks for CSMFO News. We are asking for your help to send ideas on what you what to learn more about, or suggestions on a simple 500 word article about your staff, agency, or someone you think has a great story to tell.
We’re open to any article submissions or ideas involving local government stories. In particular, in the short-term, we’re most interested in articles on tips for (1) succession development within local government; (2) how you or your team resets their north star to focus on what’s most important; or (3) how and what your agency is doing to develop strategies on fiscal sustainability.
August Articles
We hope you enjoy this month’s articles that include articles on how to lock in your spot in one of our four, limited seating, 2020 preconference sessions, or just to make sure you secure your Disney property hotel room. We’ll also provide tips on how to recharge yourself and continue to help prepare your agency for success in on a 2020 ballot.
Finally, all this talk of numbers, from our 40 n’ 4 challenge to the value of prizes, got us reflecting on how much fun numbers can be, especially calendar dates. For example, earlier this year on January 9th was a unique period of time where the month/day was the same as the last two digits of the year (1/9 & 19). And of course, there are more fun days like PI day (March 14th) and May 4th (May the “4th” be with you). And next year, some real number fans might already be looking to Oct 15th, when we’ll see consecutive multiples of 5 (10/15/20). But perhaps nothing quite beat December 13th, 2014, when the dates were aligned in number sequence (12/13/14). We’ll have to wait until 2034 to see that again (January 2, 2034).
What other fun dates might you be looking forward to in the coming years? Email us your dates, or any CSMFO News feedback or suggestions at communications.chair@csmfo.org
